We are thrilled to share that Jackie Larocque, Senior Director in Bonita Springs, Florida, has been selected for the prestigious Gulfshore Business 40 Under 40 Award! The publication recognizes 40 individuals who have distinguished themselves within their professions and in the southwest Florida community. This accolade is highly sought-after and awarded to recipients from any field.
“It feels very humbling to be selected, as I don’t feel as though I go above and beyond; I’m just passionate about doing the right work and serving my community,” said Larocque. “To have been nominated and recognized is a great honor.”
As a leader, Larocque places emphasis on mindset and thorough communication. She believes the culture of her office stems from working to keep the team in a positive headspace with an eye on the future while helping each other accomplish day-to-day tasks. She’s also deeply passionate about giving back to her alma mater, Florida Gulf Coast University.
“Most of my team went to FGCU, so we try to give back to the school whenever we can,” Larocque explained. “We make it a priority to participate in school events because we know there’s a possibility that’s where our future leaders will come from, especially for our office. Having a service mindset is essential in my office. It’s understood that being of service is not about us, it’s about helping the next generation advance.”
Larocque also emphasizes the importance of consistency and persistence in achieving her professional goals. “I started as an admin in our office 12 years ago,” she recalled. “Today, I’m a Senior Director. It took time, consistency, hard work, a positive attitude, diligence in pursuit of excellence, and learning from great leadership along the way.”
As she looks toward the future of her career, Larocque has her sights set on a future promotion to Vice President, in addition to continuing to support her team.
“I want to continue developing my team as well as work on my own professional development,” she stated. “I’m always working on strengthening the people who work for me so that they are ready to step up with me as I advance myself.
