Project Goals
As one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer coffee chains, Black Rock Coffee sought efficient and repeatable modular building solutions to support its growth into new markets across the West and Southwest. To meet ambitious targets, the client needed a partner who could deliver full-service support, streamline approval processes across multiple jurisdictions, and build community trust around modular construction methods.
Outcomes
Atwell has delivered comprehensive services for more than 35 Black Rock Coffee sites across Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and soon California. By advancing permitting and site development tasks in parallel with final design and modular building construction, we’ve saved months on project timelines while reducing both costs and truckloads of materials.
As Black Rock’s footprint has grown, Atwell has leveraged our relationships and familiarity with local processes in Arizona and nearby states. We’ve helped Black Rock to navigate the land development process from due diligence and site selection, to entitlements, platting, and rezoning.
