Atwell’s Lakewood Office Promotes Katrina Stewart to Project Manager

 

Atwell, LLC is pleased to promote Katrina Stewart to Project Manager in our Power and Energy group. Based in Atwell’s Lakewood, Colorado office, Katrina will be responsible for managing the civil design project team and guiding the team’s deliverables, maintaining project budgets and schedules, providing quality control, and promoting and expanding Atwell’s Power and Energy operations.

With a strong background in the Power and Energy industry, Katrina has over 12 years of experience in project management, transmission line creation, construction field engineering, and substation design, with four of those years being at Atwell. Katrina’s areas of expertise include project management, field engineering, issue resolution, construction, and materials testing (soils, asphalt and concrete, and hilti DX). She has worked on projects nationwide from the El Algodon Alto Substation in Texas to the Blue Harvest Solar Plant in Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at Michigan Technological University and has her engineering in training (EIT) certification.

Atwell’s Greenwood Village Office Hires Casey Jones as Senior Project Manager

 

Atwell, LLC is pleased to welcome Casey Jones to its team as a Senior Project Manager in the Oil & Gas group. Based in Atwell’s Greenwood Village, Colorado office, Casey will be responsible for managing GIS/Mapping projects, developing best-practices and client-specific GIS solutions, monitoring project coordination and execution, and promoting and expanding Atwell’s Oil & Gas market.

Casey Jones brings a wealth of industry knowledge and more than 24 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He has been a Blue Sky Certified Consultant for 11 years and has trained students all over North America. He has helped design, engineer, and construct over 3,000 miles of midstream assets in the Western and Rocky Mountain regions, managed survey teams on fast past gathering system projects, and led GIS teams on cross-country FERC pipeline projects. His areas of expertise include natural gas gathering systems, metering and interconnects, and dehydration, as well spatial databases, geomatics, and system integration. As a member of the Pipeline Open Data Standard Association (PODS), he has served on the education committee and chaired the new construction workgroup. He is also involved in other organizations such as Petroleum Users Group (PUG), Association of Petroleum Surveying and Geomatics (APSG), Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA), and Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA).

Atwell’s Dallas Office Promotes Jeff Green to Project Manager

 

Atwell, LLC is pleased to promote Jeff Green to Project Manager in our Real Estate and Land Development group. Based in Atwell’s Dallas, Texas office, Jeff will be responsible for developing project objectives and guiding his team’s deliverables, monitoring project coordination and execution, maintaining project budgets and schedules, providing quality control, managing and developing client relationships, and promoting and expanding Atwell’s Commercial Development operations in the Western Region.

With a 30-year career in the surveying and civil engineering fields, Jeff Green brings tremendous technical and industry leadership to the firm, as well as a diverse project portfolio ranging in residential and commercial development, municipal and industrial facilities, and oil & gas pipeline design and management. Prior to joining Atwell, Jeff was a Survey Coordinator/Supervisor Tech Specialist where he oversaw the design operations on boundary and topographic surveys, control network projects, utility coordination, construction staking, along with cost tracking/estimating, document control, specification creation, and project schedule creation.

His background includes all facets of land development projects, from due diligence studies and planning to design, cost estimating, permitting, and construction-related services. He is particularly knowledgeable about zoning codes and helping clients navigate through the governmental approval process. He has been instrumental in the development of residential subdivisions, numerous commercial projects, and thousands of miles of Midstream pipelines throughout Texas and the Southern Region.

Atwell’s Cleveland Office Hires Courtney Schmidt as Director

 

Atwell, LLC is pleased to announce that Courtney Schmidt has joined the firm as Director, Power and Energy. Based in Atwell’s Independence office, she will support the company’s power and energy group by leading business development efforts and client relationships, managing projects, guiding her team’s deliverables, providing quality control, and maintaining budgets and schedules for projects throughout the region.

With a wealth of experience, including experience in creating profitable, business-changing growth strategies, Schmidt has been instrumental in startup initiatives. She has designed inaugural strategy; guided growth; communicated mission, created and motivated teams, as well as translated technology potential into effective business value to close the gap between vision and reality.

Schmidt specializes in the development of business in new markets and expanding core services to meet the market’s evolving needs. She monitors industry trends and initiatives while recognizing how they affect strategy and growth potential. She identifies synergies, reflects on policy technology and economic forces affecting the market, and collaborates with clients on how to best anticipate and address their needs. Schmidt joins Atwell from a wireless technology consulting company, where she spent more than 22 years. Over her tenure there, Courtney led corporate operations throughout the country. Schmidt earned a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wittenberg University.

Atwell’s Austin Office Promotes Larry Cole to Project Manager

 

Atwell, LLC is pleased to promote Larry Cole to Project Manager in our real estate and land development division. Based in Atwell’s Austin, TX office, Larry will be responsible for managing project coordination and execution, developing project objectives, guiding his team’s deliverables, providing quality control, maintaining project budgets and schedules, and managing and developing client relationships.

With over 30 years of experience in the surveying field, Larry brings tremendous technical and industry leadership to the firm, as well as a diverse project portfolio ranging from residential and commercial developments to transmission lines and wind farms, as well as marine surveying. Prior to Atwell, he worked nearly 10 years as Chief of Crews where he managed survey crews and regularly updated clients for subdivision projects throughout Texas. At Atwell, whether he is performing transmission line surveying for a 256-mile line in West Texas for Oncor or working on wind farms in West Texas for Sun Electric staking location of turbines, Larry’s experience has proved him invaluable to his team and clients through all project types and phases.

Atwell’s Ann Arbor Office hires Jeff Williams as Project Manager

 

Atwell is pleased to welcome Jeff Williams to our team as a Project Manager in our Environmental group. Based in Atwell’s Ann Arbor, Michigan office, Williams is responsible for promoting and expanding Atwell’s Power & Energy operations, managing project resources, leading his team’s project quality control, and maintaining project budgets and schedules for projects throughout Michigan and the Midwest.

Jeff Williams brings more than 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Power industries to Atwell. His experience is primarily in project management; natural resources permitting; cultural resources, listed species, and wetland assessments; natural gas and liquids pipelines, pipeline construction, and other associated facilities.  Additionally, he has extensive field survey experience in the fields of wetland ecology, terrestrial habitat and species ecology, and aquatic habitat and species ecology. Williams earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan. He is a certified Michigan Construction Stormwater Operator.

Atwell’s Southfield Office Hires Andrew DeWitt as Team Leader

 

Atwell is pleased to welcome Andrew DeWitt to its team as a Team Leader in the environmental practice. Based in Atwell’s Southfield, Michigan office, Andrew will be responsible for managing renewable energy project teams, guiding team deliverables, and client relationship management and development across renewable energy markets nationwide. Andrew will play a key role in overseeing Atwell’s environmental programs and initiatives for clients developing and pursuing solar and wind energy assets. In doing so, Andrew will provide strategic advice and risk-management support.

Prior to joining Atwell, DeWitt was a senior project manager at Environmental Resources Management based in west Michigan. He specializes in managing multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale and complex projects for clients across a range of industries, including power and energy, oil and gas, mining, and telecommunications. He has notable success managing major capital projects that required challenging permitting and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, and he has managed NEPA projects under the direction of almost ten different lead federal agencies across the United States and its territories. In addition, Andrew has managed due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, and remediation projects throughout the Midwest. DeWitt holds a bachelor of science degree in Geology (Biology minor) from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Science in Geospatial Sciences in Geology and Geography from Missouri State University.

Atwell’s Southfield Office Hires Michael J. Giddings as Senior Project Manager

 

Atwell is pleased to announce that Michael J. Giddings has joined the firm as Senior Project Manager for the Land & ROW Solutions group. Based in Atwell’s Southfield office, Mr. Giddings will focus on the real estate and power and energy markets providing clients with Atwell’s full suite of right of way services.  His responsibilities include project coordination and execution, client satisfaction and relations, developing project objectives and managing project teams.

With 38 years of land development and commercial real estate management, Giddings brings a diverse portfolio of experience in all facets of real-estate in commercial & residential industries as well as power & energy and telecommunication. He has successfully managed a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including retail, medical and light industrial assets, which requires additional expertise in obtaining financing and risk management insurance.

He has experience with complex land acquisition transactions, entitlement and permitting processing, design and construction projects, tenant, lender, civil engineering, insurance company and consulting firm negotiations. He has worked on numerous projects involving public and private utilities such as electric, gas, water/sewer and voice/data. Giddings prior experience in the title insurance business also allowed him the opportunity to lead and execute on tasks related to the title curative process for real estate transactions. Giddings is a licensed real estate booker in the State of Michigan.

Atwell Expands in Naperville, IL

 

Atwell has recently announced the relocation and expansion of their Chicagoland office within the Naperville Corporate Center in Naperville, IL.  The address of the new 10,000 square foot office is 1250 E. Diehl Rd. Ste. 300, Naperville, IL.

The Landlord was represented by Joe Stevens, Executive VP of Transwestern.  Transwestern handles the leasing and management for the Naperville Corporate Center, a full-service office campus comprised of 4 office buildings totaling 420,000 SF and supported by many nearby restaurants, hotels and other conveniences.  Atwell was represented by Stephen Taglione, VP and Senior Managing Director of Alliance Corporate Real Estate Solutions (“ACRES”).  Taglione and ACRES serve as the tenant representative for Atwell’s 26 offices throughout the United States.
