Apex Clean Energy

For more than a decade, Atwell and Apex Clean Energy have been working together to engineer quality infrastructure and stay ahead of the curve in energy capture and storage. Apex has relied on Atwell’s program management to oversee project changes, large and small, for dozens of wind, solar, and battery storage projects in multiple locations.

Project goals

To better understand project size and scope, Apex engaged with us to dig into project details after completing preliminary engineering and development. The goal was to better understand any land constraints and rapidly respond to changes as they developed throughout the project timeline. When designs were completed, we worked with subcontractors to keep projects on time and on budget while meeting Apex’s high standards. If any large-scale changes were necessary, we actively responded and redesigned them in real-time.

Outcomes

Atwell provided PV and high voltage work as well as program management for multiple portfolio projects. Our redesigns accommodated changes in multiple locations. After more than 10 years of working together, we continue to provide support and management for Apex in the development of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Our engineering services have been used in a number of Apex projects, and our tenured relationship has expanded opportunities to include construction services.
